To seek and provide opportunities to learn te reo me ōna tikanga o Ngāti Hine.
To integrate Māori values and principles throughout all kura activities, upholding the mana of our ākonga, sustaining their wairua and hinengaro so that they may always attain higher learning.
To empower our ākonga to follow in the footsteps of their tupuna and become leaders who can achieve success and can contribute to the welfare of whānau, hapū and iwi in te ao Māori and te ao Pākehā.
To reflect a holistic learning environment acknowledging the intellectual, physical, social, cultural and spiritual components of each ākonga to promote and enhance their overall health and well-being.
Whakaiti - humble, modesty, consideration, empathy and down to earth.
Kotahitanga - unity, togetherness, solidarity, and collective action. Shows how strategies are applied to develop kotahitanga, which foster and enhance relationships, respect, and unity in group situations.
Ahuwhenua - industrious, busy, conscientious, assiduous, active, diligent, and energetic which encourages participation.
Manawaroa - endurance, stamina, resilience and perseverance.
